Our Story

UPDATE: The room block is now closed for direct booking, but there are a few rooms left. Please contact the bride or groom if you'd like to reserve a room in the block. We have two room block options for our guests:

THE LODGE AT SEA ISLAND

100 Retreat Avenue St. Simons Island, Georgia 31522 The Lodge is the location of our wedding ceremony and reception. It is part of Sea Island Resorts and features the golf club, a pool, and acclaimed restaurants. Guests staying here will have full access to all Sea Island properties including the Cloister, Beach Club, Spa, and restaurants. Rooms are available starting at $775 per night.

THE INN BY SEA ISLAND

100 Salt Marsh DriveSt. Simons Island, Georgia 31522 The Inn is a comfortable hotel operated by Sea Island located just outside the Cloister grounds. Amenities include a pool, an on-site bar with Topgolf Swing suite, a workout facility, and complimentary bicycles. Continental breakfast is included. Guests at the Inn have access to all Sea Island properties with the exception of the Beach Club. Rooms are available for $225 per night.

The room block is now closed for direct booking, but there are a few rooms left. Please contact the bride or groom if you'd like to reserve a room in the block. We encourage guests to book through the wedding block - transportation will be provided for all wedding-related events to/from both the Lodge and the Inn! Guests not staying in our wedding block will not have access to Sea Island facilities outside of wedding events and will need to coordinate their own transportation to/from all events.

Accommodations

ARRIVAL BY AIR

There are three airports within driving distance of Sea Island/St. Simons: Brunswick (BQK) is a~20 minute drive from our accommodations, offering two daily Delta flights through Atlanta. Jacksonville (JAX) and Savannah (SAV) are both ~75 minute drives from our accommodations. They are mid-size airports offering a wider selection of flight options. Rental cars are available at each airport. Uber access is limited once you reach St. Simons, so we recommend renting a car or arranging transportation to/from the airport ahead of time. Sea Island/St. Simons is located ~20 minutes off I-95. There will be complimentary on-site parking at both wedding block hotels.

WHAT TO DO?

COUNTRY CLUB SPORTSGuests staying in our room block can reserve tennis, pickleball, and golf directly through Sea Island BICYCLE RENTALBikes are available for hourly and daily rental at Monkeywrench Bicycles on St. Simons, as well as through PEDAL at the Sea Island Beach Club. The Inn also offers complimentary bikes for any guests staying there AVENUE OF THE OAKSDrive the dramatic oak-covered avenue leading up to the Lodge. A great spot for photos ST. CAN I BRING A PLUS ONE? CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN? Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate plus ones or children at any wedding-related events. All invited guests have been named on the save the date/invitation. We are so excited to celebrate with each of you. Feel free to reach out if you need help arranging childcare on the island. WHAT'S FOR DINNER?The wedding reception will include a plated dinner with a salad starter and a surf and turf main course. WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO GET AROUND SEA ISLAND/ST. SIMONS? If you are staying in either of our room blocks, transportation will be provided to/from all wedding events. Additionally, there is a shuttle between all Sea Island properties running daily which you can use at your leisure. If you'd like to explore St. Simons, we'd recommend renting a car or a bike. Uber is available on the island but limited. WHAT'S THE WEATHER LIKE IN GEORGIA IN SEPTEMBER? Sea Island is located on the coast so weather is not always predictable. Average highs for September are in the low 80s. It can be a little humid, but the coastal breeze usually helps. CAN I ACCESS SEA ISLAND FACILITIES? Sea Island is a private resort. Guests staying at the Lodge will have access to all Sea Island facilities and amenities. Guests staying at the Inn will have access to facilities and amenities except the Beach Club. Anyone interested in playing golf at a Sea Island course will need to stay at the Lodge or the Inn. Sea Island offers shuttles between the various properties and everything is within 10 minutes driving distance.
